Discussion of 18 Feb 2010Luke Coletti, Doug Pargett, Jim Birch
ISUS specs Based on Luke's LOBO experiences, one 'single stick' battery pack will power ISUS for 6 months if sampling once/hr. Thus, 20 min sampling rate would last ~1.2 months. Duration scales proportionally.
Continued Discussion 31 August 2010Luke, Doug, Scott, Jim, Ken
1. How will we power ISUS on DESP? ISUS runs on 8-20V, 6-7 watts nominal. Current plan is to run off the DESP batteries. 2. Ken said they can build 2 ISUS starting right now. One will be shallow, one deep. We have also asked for 3 deep probes ($2200/ea). 3. Luke will give Doug plans to modify the calibrator, and new flow-cell for calibrations; these are nec with the new titanium housing design. 4. Doug will send plans for Ti housing out for bid. Next steps will be determined by cost/time estimates. Ken has offered us his aluminum housings for deep work. |
